Streaming

We understand that sometimes not everyone can make it to the service. With our specialist technology and team, we can professionally stream your funeral service and make it available for a further 28 days. This gives people the chance to attend and pay their respects, even if they can’t make it in person.

Live streamed funeral

Not everyone will be able to make the service, but they can still join you in saying goodbye with Live & On Demand, our Streaming service.

  • Clear view: You can see the catafalque, lectern, the front row of mourners and the Tribute screens on the Live Stream camera.

  • Watch from anywhere: Our teams check each venue’s stream connection each morning so that viewers can attend the service online.

  • Private and secure: We generate unique log in details for each service and send them to those that need them.

  • On Demand: After the service, a video will be available online within three working days where it can be watched for a further 28 days at a time that suits you.

Did you know?
You can turn your Live Stream (and Tribute) into a Keepsake. To find out more, explore Keepsakes.

What our customers say

Live Streaming a service makes the day accessible to all. Here’s a review from a user of Live & On Demand.

“Thank you so much for this service. My mum’s funeral was yesterday in Gravesend, England and I’m in Australia.”

“Just having my family turn round to give me a wave made a world of difference. Please keep this service up, I am so grateful.”

Music

Frequently asked questions

  • Once a Live & On Demand streaming service is booked by your Funeral Arranger, they will receive a secure link and log in details for your service and forward them on to you.

From this point, you can share the details with who you like, and on the day of the service, this link will lead to a secure webpage where the service will be live streamed.

Next, your On Demand video will be tidied up by our media team, reuploaded then made available within two to three working days after the service on the same link and password, where it will be available to watch for a further 28 days. Your Funeral Arranger will be notified when the video becomes available to watch.

Please note: We recommend that you and your family members test the log in details before the day of the service to make sure you can access the stream. Before the time of the service, there will be a test stream available to make sure it works.

  • Viewers can only ever log in with the exact username and password we email to the Funeral Arranger and venue. If this is not working for any reason, please let your Funeral Arranger or venue know.

We take the privacy of funeral services very seriously, so we never give out log in details over the phone, or to members of the public.

  • The Live Stream includes a view of the catafalque, the lectern, the front row of mourners and the Tribute screens. Some of our venues can show the Tribute on thier screen at home when it’s played too.

  • Yes, we record every service. So not only can you order a copy of the service after it has happened as a Keepsake, but anyone at home experiencing technical difficulties can watch our back-up of the service online.

These can be requested for up to 28 days after the service, even if no stream was ordered beforehand.

  • After the Live service has streamed, we fine-tune each video to offer the best possible experience. This includes setting the start and end time for every recording so there’s no waiting around for the service to start.

We also quality-check that the audio and video meet our high standards. If we don’t think the recording is up to standard, we’ll do what we can to manually improve the audio or video before it goes back online (although please be aware that some issues may be outside of our reasonable control).

We cover even more of our more commonly asked questions over on our Support page and in our blog.
